Each
painting represents something of a journey,
usually into the light of the rising or setting
sun. The rhythm in colour and tone serves
to illuminate and emphasise each subtle twist
and turn on that journey. There is a romance
in the light with no hint of sentimentality
in the disciplined compositions. Through many
of the images flows the pervasive and ever
present water, reflecting and shimmering,
presenting a path upon which the viewer is
invited journey.
